More about the HxBIA Storefront Vandalism Relief Grant
The Storefront Vandalism Relief Grant is currently funded by donations from the movie industry when filming in our BIA. On average we receive approximately $7-10,000 per year for this purpose.
Based on the above we are currently providing up to 50% per cent of the claim (to a maximum of $750.00) in financial relief for the restoration of small businesses impacted by deliberate actions that result in the destruction or damages of small business storefronts.
This program assists based on the total cost incurred to repair physical damages (not including loss of stolen goods or property) and is available on a first come-first-serve basis, based on fund availability.
In the case of multiple incidents, a maximum of two claims will be accepted within a one-year period.
Successful applicants will be notified within 14 days of applying.
We acknowledge that we conduct our business on the unceded traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples including the skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh). We extend thanks, honour, and respect to our hosts.
